Our cutting edge, Financial Services Client is seeking a savvy Public Relations Specialist to manage the communication strategy. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of public relations experience and excellent written communication skills.
This individual will be primarily responsible for executing the communications strategy by leveraging PR skills, writing skills, communication skills, and social media.
GENERAL JOB INITIATIVES: • Executes on communication strategy across a variety of channels to include print, social media, web, and others. • Write press materials, including messaging documents, press releases, briefing sheets and wrap-up reports • Develop plan for pitching to media outlets. • Develops collective plans that effectively leverage channels. Confirm consistency of communications across channels. • Ensure consistency of messages, brand implementation and design in corporate communications (including appropriate and consistent use of corporate logos and images, adherence to corporate identity standards and related graphic standards in all creative executions).
REQUIREMENTS: • A four-year degree in Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations or communications field • Agency experience preferred • Excellent written communication experience for both print and web • Experience writing press releases and additional PR skills • Ability to create powerpoint presentations for senior leadership or external audiences • Experience with social media marketing / communication
